Putin signs decree to prolong counter-measures vs EU for one year
MOSCOW, Jun 24 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday he had signed a decree to prolong counter-measures against the West for one year.
“The prime minister appealed with a letter to prolong the measures, which we took in response to actions of our partners, several countries. In accordance with this letter, I signed a ruling today to prolong certain special economic measures aimed at ensuring Russia’s safety and I ask the government to promptly prepare and publish the relevant ruling,” Putin said.
On Monday, the E.U. prolonged economic sanctions against Russia until January 31, 2016.
